Our belief in upholding an exacting, ethical trading policy has never been stronger; and all of our suppliers are expected to maintain high standards of animal welfare and stewardship. With this in mind, our first instinct is always to buy good-quality, locally-sourced, British produce.

Budgets permitting, we always advocate the use of free-range eggs and other organic produce.

As standards continue to improve, we actively encourage all initiatives that promote quality, good-practice and sustainability – such as obtaining fish from sustainable sources.

We are all pleased to be moving in the right direction – with a significant proportion of our chilled meats now being Red Tractor Farm Assured; and all of our hot drinks and most of our fruit juices now Fairtrade.
