Each working day, in school kitchens across the country, teams of eden professionals take pride in producing freshly prepared food for hungry pupils.
On a national level, this amounts to over 100,000 healthy meals, served by eden, every single day.
In primary and secondary school dining rooms all across the country, children, teachers, parents, governors and LEAs can all be confident that we’ve done the thinking about tasty and nutritious food, so they don’t have to.
Led by our full-time nutritionist, Rachael Venditti, all our people understand that with the privilege of feeding young minds and bodies comes great responsibility: so at eden we see government legislation as a minimum standard rather than an end point.
The dishes we serve in primary schools are packed full of the finest ingredients: yielding high levels of iron, fibre and essential fatty acids, and low levels of saturated fat, added sugar and salt.
At eden, we believe that making food fashionable is the only way to capture young hearts and minds; and it is in this spirit that we aim to encourage a culture of healthy eating through informed choice.
At secondary level, we know that young people gravitate towards big, bold, fashionable brands: so we have to work even harder to appeal to more sophisticated tastes.
